Healthy Paws and Hooves is a mobile clinic with an experienced veterinarian, Dr. David Barnes. Also known to many as the Cowboy Doctor. He brings a soft touch with an abundance of knowledge and care. For many years, Dr. Barnes has been helping clients and their loved ones all across the state of Arizona. From mobile clinics to local clinics as a relief veterinarian and of course house calls, you may have already seen him in action.Dr. David Barnes graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. His undergraduate studies were at Penn State University. He is a member of The AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), The AzVMA (Arizona Veterinary Medical Assocation), and The Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice. The Academy requires 50 yearly credits consisting of seminars and classes to stay up to date and informed with technological advances and research. He practiced for 14 years in Arizona since 1999 , prior to that he had a private practice for 20 years on the east coast.
         Dr. David Barnes has been a Veterinary Medical Doctor for more than 50 years, He also has a deep love for horses. He has owned and bred horses, shown and competed with horses, as well as worked as a veterinarian at a horse race track.
With his trusted assistant James "Cowboy" Ibach at his side this cowboy team has revolutionized the veterinarian world by remembering what being a medical professional for all animals has always been about which is the love and care of the health and wellness of your beloved little fur babies! Livestock, Dogs, Cats and other animals "The Cowboy Team" can assist with just about all types of animals and their health.
Don't be afraid to call ahead and let us know if you have an animal you're not sure we can help. 
Horses are even welcome at the vaccination clinics provided you call ahead to ensure we are prepared for equines and you bring the horse to the parking lot.

       We love to see all types of animals in the stores. There are often children and their family in the stores that have never seen a pet a cool as yours. It's a great experience for all. We look forward to welcoming your pet to our family.
